Tas darbojas.. Ziema, tāpat kā Rīga, nekad nebūs pabeigta.
It all began as innocent fun and games. She was sitting at the bar and drinking rum from the bottle. No – actually, it started even earlier.

He didn’t have anything better to do that summer. Or rather, he didn’t particularly want to be doing anything better. Who knows why at this point, but he decided to build an establishment – a gallery with a bar. There was just barely enough money in his pocket to get started: under a hundred lats. And the other pocket was just as empty as his head. And, that was just enough to start something that was otherwise so clearly out of reach. As far as where, the choice was simple: who offered the most generous rent discount for the first few months? In all honesty, it was quite clear that this space needed him, not the other way around. So, it was all there: the idea, the space, and the determination. There were only the paltry details left. Like construction materials. Enter the always indispensable and trusty solution to all problems: ...bartering! In exchange for his work: beams and boards. In exchange for surplus wood materials: wiring materials. Then, more work and imagination, in exchange for other useful things. It turns out that honest work and a heartfelt thanks is a very real and functional form of currency, as much in today’s world as ever. And thus, things got started.
